Privacy Policy
VeloraAxis respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we handle it. It applies to both business owners using VeloraAxis and end customers ordering from a VeloraAxis-hosted website.
Short version: We collect only what we need to run the service. We don't sell your data. We don't collect sensitive personal information. Payment card data never touches our servers.
1. What we collect from business owners
When you create a VeloraAxis account, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address (used for login and notifications)
- Your phone number
- Your business name, address, and description
- Your business menu, services, prices, and images that you upload
- Your login activity (IP address, browser type, login timestamps) — used to prevent abuse and unauthorised access
All of this is information you either provide to us or that is already publicly available (business name, address, phone number on Google).
2. What we collect from end customers
When someone places an order or booking through a VeloraAxis-hosted website, we collect on behalf of that business:
- Customer name
- Customer phone number
- Delivery or booking address (if applicable)
- Order details (items, quantities, total amount)
This information is stored in the business's account and is accessible only to that business owner and their authorised staff.
3. What we do NOT collect
We do not collect or store:
- Credit or debit card numbers (payments are handled by Razorpay)
- Bank account details
- Aadhaar, PAN, or other government IDs
- Biometric data
- Health or medical information
- Caste, religion, or political affiliation
- Passwords in plaintext (they are hashed with industry-standard algorithms)
4. Why we collect this information
- To run your website and dashboard
- To process orders and bookings you receive
- To send you service notifications (order alerts, payment reminders, security warnings)
- To prevent fraud and abuse
- To improve our service (aggregated, anonymised analytics)
- To comply with tax and legal obligations
5. Who we share data with
We share the minimum necessary information with:
- Razorpay — our payment processor. They receive customer email, phone, and payment amount when a customer pays online. Their privacy policy governs that data.
- AWS (Amazon Web Services) — our hosting provider. All data sits on AWS servers in the Mumbai region.
- Google Workspace / Gmail — for sending transactional emails (order confirmations, password resets).
We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not share it with advertisers or marketing companies.
6. How long we keep data
Business owner data: kept while your account is active, plus 90 days after cancellation, then deleted.
End customer data: kept in your business account for as long as you keep the order in your dashboard. You can delete individual orders or entire customers at any time.
Analytics data: kept in aggregated, anonymised form indefinitely.
7. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for non-essential processing
- File a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India

8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transfer
- Hashed and salted passwords
- Regular security updates to our servers
- Access controls — only authorised staff can access production systems
- Automated backups
No system is 100% secure. If we detect a data breach that affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
9. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies on your dashboard. Your public website may use essential cookies for cart functionality.
10. Children
VeloraAxis is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date at the top of the page will reflect any change. We will notify you by email if the changes are significant.
